Seyi and John Wedding Photography
Here I’m, yet again with another love birds, capturing their swoon-worthy moments that I photographed during their simplistic yet elegant wedding events.
This time, it is Seyi and John, a couple that came to me with the idea of keeping everything natural and candid.
Anybody who saw the way Seyi smiled at John while discussing their story; could have an idea why they are going to have each other for whole of their lives.
All I could say is, their passion was evident! Anyway they kept their wedding ceremonies simple yet classy.
From the attires to the set up, the wedding seemed as if they did not want to use too much to take away from the natural environment.
We kicked off this wedding shoot with capturing the beautiful big smile of Seyi; that tells us a lot about her love for her soulmate, John!
The “Jumping the Broom” is a ceremony in which the bride and groom; either at the ceremony or at the reception; signify their entrance into a new life and their creation of a new family by symbolically “sweeping away” their former single lives; former problems and concerns, and jumping over the broom to enter upon a new adventure as wife and husband.
Here is some shots of this tradition where Seyi and John are seen exchanging gifts and following their historical traditions.
This intimate moment below is undoubtedly my favorite one. The way this couple is mesmerized in love can leave anyone fascinated with this candid shot.
I chose to go for vintage mode because I wanted to bring a little more aesthetic into this click; so that this moment looks magical.
Here is some shots from the Wedding day. The stylish silver high-heels can be seen in the following shot; with bridal dress in the background. Which I chose to blur so that this gorgeous high-heels could grab more of your attention.
The clear click below, carrying the elegant white wedding dress, surround by exquisite purple bridesmaid’ attires to supplement the pure elegance to the cohesive wedding theme.
Also, a sleek and classy matte gold gown of maid of honor sets it apart from other bridesmaids dresses.
It time to present flashbacks of the bachelorette party, thrown by Seyi’s bridesmaids and honor of maid is the one who planned the bridal shower and stayed really calm.
The beautiful shot below is from the bridal shower, that Seyi seemed to enjoyed a lot. According to her, though the wedding was all about Seyi and John, but she really enjoyed celebrating it with her friends.
There is nothing like being girdled by sisterly love on your wedding day. The following picture tells us about sweet bridal party moment that warmed our hearts.
Before Seyi and John swapped vows, she and her girls had to pose for a quick photo as they were getting ready to remember the day!
The way the girls are giving flying kisses to the bride is lit.
Now is the time to share a fresh click of wedding bouquet.
Hand-tied arrangements of flowers looked exactly how they sound: a cluster of flowers is hand-tied together with ribbon, giving the arrangement a casual look from the loose stems .
The way Seyi was holding it made me rush to capture this with no delaying, this is what I feel timely photography is all about. Where a photographer needs not to miss even a single natural shot.
This romantic pose invokes the concept that focuses on creating an enchanted, fairytale-inspired vibe.
The soothing lake background perfectly paired nature-inspired details with laid-back elements to create a casual, easygoing aesthetic. The portrait accurately embodied the carefree vibes that are synonymous with a lake-side soothing moments.
I simply love wedding rings – who doesn’t! Here is the exquisite click of wedding ring which I tried my best to beautify it as much as I could. The silver ring adorned with semi-precious stones to the more lavish material.
In all Western wedding photoshoots; I always make sure I don’t forget to capture this pose in my camera. Somewhat this pose is very close to my heart and always liked by the couples.
Here, Seyi, who is getting ready with the help of her honor of maid, sweetly allowed me to photographed this moment for her to cherish later.
What drives me to do this photography business is to capture the love of couples; that is depicted more by their body language than their words.
Without having to speak a single word, couples give away their thought and feelings through their posture; their hand gestures; the position of their body and even with their eye contact.
And most of the time, they do not even know they are doing it!
This is where my role comes, to always crave for such candid shots so that when the couples look back to these clicks; the memories actually rewind in their minds.
